Turn the phone on.
2Plug the smaller end of the USB cable that came with your HTC Desire into the USB connector on the phone’s bottom panel. Connect the other end of this cable to an unused USB port on the computer.
3Press and hold the status bar at the top of the screen. Slide your finger downward to open the Notification panel.
4Tap “USB Connected.” Tap “Mount.” Your computer will now recognize the storage card inside your phone as a USB drive.
5Launch Windows Explorer. Navigate to the directory where the video file you want to download to your phone is stored. Right-click the video file and select “Copy” from the shortcut menu. Click on the listing for the USB device in the left panel. The folder and file contents currently saved on your phone’s storage card appear in the right panel.
6Open whichever folder on your phone you want to store your videos in. Go to the “File” menu and select “Paste” to download a copy of the video to your HTC Desire.
Tips & WarningsThe HTC Desire supports .3gp, .3g2, .mp4, .wmv, .avi, and .xvid video formats. If the video you want to download to your HTC Desire is not in one of these supported formats, you can use video file conversion software such as HandBrake or Video Converter Ultimate to convert the file. The .mp4 format works best.
